'Funny People' debuts at top of US box office

The $75 million-budgeted comedy marks Sandler's worst opening at the North American box office since 2004's Spanglish.
Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince has remained in the number two spot for a consecutive week, followed by last week's box office champ G-Force at number three with $17 million and Katherine Heigl's The Ugly Truth in the number 4 spot with $13 million.
The second debut is the family/adventure movie Aliens In The Attic at number five with $7.8 million.
Finally, the summer's biggest blockbuster Transformers 2 slips to the number 10 spot, potentially marking its last showing on the top ten with $4.6 million.
