Weitz clarifies 'New Moon' nude rumours

New Moon director Chris Weitz has laughed off reports that the Twilight sequel will feature a naked scene.

The rumour was started after Jamie Campbell Bower (Caius) joked about stripping off with his Volturi vampire co-stars in a sequence for the highly-anticipated movie.

In a letter to Twilight Source, the filmmaker said: "I would like to put everyone’s mind at rest and let them know that the Volturi are not naked!

"Jamie has what you might call a dry sense of humour and almost managed to convince me - which is why he’s such a good actor. Anyway, be assured that, even though we do want the look of the Volturi to be a bit of a surprise, they are always - as in the book! - fully clothed."

Campbell Bower recently told DS that the movie "looked awesome" and praised Weitz for doing a "really fantastic job".

New Moon is released everywhere in November.
