The indie black comedy has been nominated for the Hidden Gem prize at the Digital Spy Movie Awards, with Blunt also securing a nod in the Actress Of The Year category.
"Emily is so talented, just a joy to be around and always collaborative," Collins said to DS. "She's always smiling and it was great to see her fight for the things she believed in. It was great to be with and jam with her. I can't wait to do it again. I had a huge crush on her, too!"
The actor confessed that he wanted the Sunshine Cleaning shoot to be longer so he could spend more time with Blunt and Amy Adams.
"To be in the middle of those two, now I know what the cream filling feels like in an Oreo cookie!" he joked. "I didn't want it to end."
Director Christine Jeffs, meanwhile, said that she was "very grateful" to hear the "wonderful news" about Sunshine's nominations.
