Director Brett Ratner had revealed that he may consider doing a future X-Men movie.

The Rush Hour filmmaker, who took over the franchise from Bryan Singer for 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand, said that he could possibly be swayed given the right script.

He told MTV: "The thing with the X-Men universe is, I feel like I've already done it. Certain things I would go after and certain things only if the script is great."

Ratner said that two potential projects that have piqued his interest are X-Men: First Class and X-Men Origins: Magneto, adding: "I heard a rumour that they were going to do a young X-Men, which would be great.

"I would love to see a Magneto movie personally, because I love the Holocaust backstory. I'd love to see a Storm movie too."

However, he admitted that if he decides not to helm another film in the franchise, he would love to see what Steven Spielberg could do with the series.

He said: "I'd love to see Spielberg do it. A Spielberg X-Men movie would be something I'd love to see."

Ratner's next film project is the adaptation of Rob Liefeld's comic book Youngblood.
