Leterrier: 'I want an Avengers summer'

Marvel previously pushed the release dates for its film adaptations of Thor as well as the superhero ensemble piece back to 2011 and 2012, respectively. Iron Man director Jon Favreau recently said that he believes his third instalment in the franchise would be completed before the Avengers project goes into production.
However, Leterrier told the Los Angeles Times that he feels he can solve the problem of bringing together some of Marvel's best-loved characters.
He said: "I'll tell you my real dream: To work with [Captain America director] Joe Johnston and [Thor director] Kenneth Branagh and Jon Favreau and make like a triptych.
"We do four movies. We release them one a month for the summer. Or even every two weeks or three weeks. And the whole summer would be Avengers summer."
The Incredible Hulk helmer added: "So we do it the way they make television shows. One story arc but told in instalments by different directors. So all of the directors that touch part of the Avengers world would do a part."
Leterrier is currently filming the remake of Clash Of The Titans, the 1981 film that told the story of Perseus, the son of Zeus, who attempted to rescue Princess Andromeda from being sacrificed to a sea creature known as the Kraken.
