'Day After Tomorrow' honoured with award
The Environmental Media Association, which recognises films, music and TV shows that tackle environmental or political issues, has bestowed honour upon environmental disaster movie The Day After Tomorrow.

The film was criticised from some quarters for the plot involving dramatic and catastrophic climate changes as being rather far-fetched, but the EMA recognises the fact that the film was thought-provoking nevertheless.

The 14th annual EMA awards took place yesterday, in which the movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal beat movies Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde and Two Brothers to the award for the top film.
