Published Friday, Nov 19 2004, 18:02 GMT | By Daniel Saney

The film was criticised from some quarters for the plot involving dramatic and catastrophic climate changes as being rather far-fetched, but the EMA recognises the fact that the film was thought-provoking nevertheless.
The 14th annual EMA awards took place yesterday, in which the movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal beat movies Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde and Two Brothers to the award for the top film.
