McQuarrie tapped to write 'Wolverine 2'
Christopher McQuarrie has been hired to pen the sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Valkyrie writer will script a story based on the '80s comic miniseries by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller. It will follow anithero Wolverine in Japan as he is faced with the prospect of curbing his aggression and following a samurai's code.

McQuarrie worked extensively on the first X-Men with his Usual Suspects director Bryan Singer, but took his name off the film to give screenwriting credit to David Hayter.

Jackman will serve as a producer on the new Wolverine, his fifth outing as the Marvel Comics character, alongside Lauren Shuler Donner.
