The Watchmen actor, who will star as the iconic horror character Freddy Krueger, has admitted that gearing up to play a killer came easily after spending hours in the make-up chair, STV reports.
Haley said: "People ask me how I get into that character. Well, after three-and-a-half hours of make-up, you pretty much feel like killing somebody. You have no problem coming out as Freddy after that!"
The reboot of Wes Craven's 1984 classic will be directed by Samuel Bayer and produced by Brad Fuller and Michael Bay.
