Westbrook drops out of 'Carry On London'
Published Thursday, Nov 25 2004, 16:00 GMT | By Daniel Saney
Ex-EastEnders actress Danniella Westbrook has dropped out of the forthcoming film Carry On London.
Her departure from the project comes as something as a shock as she has featured so prominently in the publicity for the latest instalment of the franchise.
No reasons have been given for her change of heart. Shaun Williamson, EastEnders' Barry Evans, has also pulled out due to a busy work schedule.
Westbrook achieved fame by playing Sam Mitchell in the soap and having a high profile drug problem. She had been dubbed as the "new Barbara Windsor", the old Barbara Windsor having been in several Carry On films in past decades.
