Hudgens admits 'Addams Family' influence

The 20-year-old revealed that it was a relief to play a part different to Gabriella from High School Musical and that she was inspired by the famous misfit daughter when it came to researching her character.
"Don't get me wrong, Gabriella was a great character to play - but she was a lot like myself, sweet and nice! Going out of my comfort zone to play the opposite of me and create a whole new person was really exciting," she told Sugar magazine.
"I watched The Addams Family a lot and tapped into Wednesday's deadpan character. Plus I had to wear Dr Martens boots throughout the entire film. It was fun creating a whole new me."
