Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, has reportedly been rescheduled for a February 2010 release.

According to DHD, Paramount Pictures is yet to confirm the new date for the film starring an ensemble cast that includes DiCaprio, Patricia Clarkson, Jackie Earle Haley, Michelle Williams and Ben Kingsley.

Many reports have claimed that the change-of-date is due to DiCaprio's unavailability to promote the picture as he is currently filming Christopher Nolan's Inception, as well as being rumoured to be in negotiations to land the lead role in Scorsese's Sinatra biopic.

Shutter Island's original release dates were October 2 in the US and October 9 in the UK.
