'Basterds' leads Australian box office

Inglourious Basterds has topped the Australian box office on its first weekend on release.

Quentin Tarantino's latest movie, which stars Brad Pitt as the leader of a group of US soldiers on a revenge mission against the Nazis, pulls in more than $3 million to end The Ugly Truth's two-week reign atop the chart.

Both District 9 and GI Joe slip a place from last week, while My Sister's Keeper holds strong at number five.

The only other new release to make the top ten, the Wayans' Dance Flick, debuts at number nine.
