The actor, who plays Ron Weasley in the wizard fantasy series, told BBC Newsbeat that there is still much work to be done to complete the final two films.
Grint said: "I'm just trying to make the most of it really because it is going to end. I think it is going to be sad, but I'm ready to move on as well.
"At the moment we've got so much to do. Because it's two films it's going to take a year."
Regarding the friendships he has built with his co-stars, he added: "We get on great. It's been quite a long few years and we've kind of grown up with each other and gone through a lot. We're close. It's good.
"Emma's going to university and she'll be busy and stuff but hopefully we'll all stay in touch. We all get on."
Grint previously compared acting in the series to "living in a bubble", which can hinder stars' independence.
