According to Jim Hill Media, the studio registered several domain names in conjunction with the 2011 film, including cars2-worldgrandprix.com, cars2worldgrandprix.com, carsworldgrandprix.com and worldgrandprix-movie.com.
The sequel to the 2006 animated movie, which featured the vocal talents of Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen, is reportedly likely to be called Cars 2: World Grand Prix.
Pixar director John Lasseter had previously stated that the follow-up would be a road movie, in which the main characters bid farewell to their hometown of Radiator Springs.
