Adam Sandler: 'Oral sex made us laugh'

Adam Sandler has said that his Funny People sex scene with director Judd Apatow's wife Leslie Mann prompted laughter during filming.

Speaking at the UK press conference for the film, the actor said that the set for the movie was loose and fun but also controlled.

When asked which scenes caused the most amusement among the cast, Mann said: "During our lovemaking scene... the cunnilingus."

Sandler said: "That was fun. Cunnilingus? That's what they call it nowadays? I didn't even know. There was nervous laughter when Judd said, 'Please eat out my wife'. Everybody laughed and laughed.

"We had a loose set, fun set, but it was very concentrated. Apatow was on a mission to make a very important movie to his life and we were all on a mission to make sure he got it accomplished."

He added: "There was improv, but it wasn't like we were goofy and saying let me try this, this and that. Judd was very focused about where he wanted the scenes to go and how he wanted to get there.

"He gave us a lot of options and a lot of different lines and of course we all came up with our own stuff on occasion. If it fit we were happy and if it didn't then he'd guide us in a different direction. It wasn't a free-for-all."
