According to Australian website Inside Film, the studio is considering shifting the superhero production to a new location because the value of the Australian dollar has climbed more than 16% in the last four months.
Warner Bros had been hoping to mount the Green Lantern film, with Ryan Reynolds in the title role, this November at Sydney's Fox Studios. The company is now in talks with the New South Wales State Government to win higher concessions in a bid to recover some of the money lost in the currency gains.
The Green Lantern movie, which centres on a pilot who inherits a mystical green ring, is expected to arrive in cinemas on June 17, 2011.
