De Mornay to lead 'Mother's Day' remake

Based on the 1980 cult favourite, the movie centres on three female friends who encounter two brothers trying to impress their unhinged mother by going on a killing spree.
Risky Business actress De Mornay will play the mother, joining a cast that already includes Jamie King, Shawn Ashmore, Briana Evigan and True Blood's Deborah Ann Woll.
Scott Milam wrote the script for the remake, which will be produced by Twisted Pictures, Brett Ratner's Rat Entertainment and LightTower Entertainment.
The movie is being eyed for release next Mother's Day.
