The Pearl Harbor actress had previously not been cast in a leading role for third film Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans, though she did appear in a flashback sequence.
However, the 36-year-old said that she is reluctant to reprise her role as Selene for a proposed franchise update, which is rumoured to begin a brand new trilogy.
She told Sci-Fi Wire: "God, three whole more? I don't think my daughter needs to see my bottom in rubber for another ten years."
She added: "I haven't signed anything. It was always conceived as a trilogy, which I was never going to be in the third one. I think if they came up with an amazing script or whatever then sure, I wouldn't be averse to it, but it's not necessarily planned."
Her husband Len Wiseman, who directed the first two movies in the vampire and werewolf series, recently said that he may adapt Underworld for television.
