'Iron Man' duo reviving 'Akira'
Published Tuesday, Sep 8 2009, 10:40 BST | By Simon Reynolds

The Iron Man duo replace Gary Whitta, who was brought on board to pen the script for Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way company and Warner Bros early last year.
The action movie is based on Katsuhiro Ôtomohis's 1988 animated version of his six-part manga series. It involves a member of a motorbike gang in post-apocalyptic 'New Tokyo' whose hidden powers are activated by a government experiment.
The remake's location will move from Japan to New York and the project could begin production next year for a 2011 release, reports Collider.
