Josh Hartnett circles 'Gunslinger'

Josh Hartnett has signed up to star in post-apocalyptic adventure Gunslinger.

The Black Hawk Down actor will play the lead in the Chris Nahon-helmed project, according to Variety.

Described as a "revenge-driven tale", it will focus on two brothers who attempt to take out the gang who killed their parents.

"This story takes a unique and startling look at what might happen when the lawlessness of the Old West returns," said producer Mark Williams. "But with better weapons."
