Colin Firth wins best actor award

Tiscali reports that Firth was honoured for his role in A Single Man.
Firth, who gave his acceptance speech in Italian, said that the accolade was "probably the greatest honour of [his] life".
Israeli film Lebanon won the Golden Lion award, while Shirin Neshat was named best director for his film Women Without Men.
