'I Can Do Bad' tops US box office

Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself has debuted at the top of the US box office.

The comedy, starring Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson and Mary J. Blige, has pulled in $24 million over the weekend.

The Tim Burton-produced animated picture 9 has debuted in second place with $15.2 million during its five-day release.

Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds holds the number three spot with $6.5 million and surpasses the $100 million mark in its fourth week. All About Steve lands at number four with $5.8 million, while last weekend's champion The Final Destination falls to number five with $5.5 million.

The third and fourth debut this week come from the horror remake Sorority Row at number six with $5.2 million, and Kate Beckinsale's thriller Whiteout at number seven with a mere $5.1 million.

The action-thriller Gamer takes a dive to number ten with $3.1 million after debuting at number four the previous week.
