Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Charisma Carpenter are apparently battling it out for the lead role in the upcoming Wonder Woman film.
The actresses have both heard that Joss Whedon, who was the executive producer of Buffy, is to direct the movie.
Gellar played the role of Buffy for seven years, while Carpenter starred as Cordelia for three years, before moving onto spin-off series, Angel.
An insider explained, "Joss has told the studio that Sarah is his first choice followed by Charisma. Sarah expressed an interest, but the producers are more interested in Charisma because she is less well known."
