Jewish Film Festival unveils programme

The festival will run from November 7 to November 19, and includes screenings of British, Israeli, American and other movies in cinemas across London.
Among the films showing at the 13th year of the event are the Coen Brothers's A Serious Man, Paul Schrader's Adam Resurrected and Haim Tabakman's Eyes Wide Open.
Founder and director Judy Ironside said: "To celebrate this special year we will be bringing you a selection of films with bar mitzvah themes, which will be launched by the inestimable Maureen Lipman, who will introduce the iconic film by her late husband Jack Rosenthal, Bar Mitzvah Boy."
Other special events at this year's festival include a talk with David Polonsky, the art director and illustrator of the Oscar-nominated Waltz With Bashir, the launch of Oy Britannia at the BFI Mediatheque and a number of panel discussions.
The festival will be on tour across the UK from January to March 2010, with screenings in Birmingham, Brighton, Cambridge, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Oxford, Sheffield and Southampton.
