Bateman: 'Extract' role similar to 'Arrested'

The actor portrays the part of Joel in director Mike Judge's new comedy, following his three-year stint as Michael Bluth in the now-deceased US sitcom.
He told Rolling Stone: "[Extract] has me playing pretty much the same type of character [as Arrested Development] in that I'm the straight man - the joke guy, the protagonist. I like doing that."
Bateman also spoke about the long-awaited Arrested film, which is scheduled for release sometime next year. "Mitch Hurwitz is writing it, he's halfway through it," the Juno star added.
Extract is in US cinemas now. A UK release date is yet to be announced.
