The superhero movie began filming earlier this month for Columbia Pictures. It had previously been announced that its release date was being pushed back from July to December of 2010.
Local law enforcement officials were summoned to the Wilshire Boulevard locale due to a bomb scare, E! reports.
Members of the film crew found a strange-looking metal object in the parking lot, which the bomb squad unit then detonated at the site.
"Everything is clear, they only found a smoke detector," a police spokesman said.
It is unknown if stars Seth Rogen or Cameron Diaz were witness to the activities.
Earlier this month, a stuntman reportedly lost control of his vehicle, which then ran into the Creative Artists Agency in Century City while filming a chase scene for the movie.
The Green Hornet will be released in cinemas on December 17, 2010.
