Jamie Foxx boards comedy 'Due Date'

Jamie Foxx has signed up to star in Warner Bros road trip comedy Due Date, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Foxx will star alongside Robert Downey Jr, Zach Galifianakis and Eagle Eye actress Michelle Monaghan. The Hangover director Todd Phillips will direct.

The film follows the story of a high-strung father-to-be (Downey Jr) who is forced to ride with a college slacker (Galifianakis) to ensure that he makes the birth of his first child. Foxx is cast as Downey Jr's oldest friend, who once secretly dated his wife (Monaghan).

Due Date begins shooting later this autumn.
