'Up' retains Aus box office lead

Up has held on to its place at the top of the Australian box office.

The Pixar animation spends its fifth week at the chart summit, its $3.7 million haul fending off competition from new entry Mao's Last Dancer.

G-Force climbs back to number three, while Surrogates and Fame, the chart's biggest faller slipping three places from two, round out the top five.

Elsewhere, Julia & Julia is a new entry at nine with a $451,131 take from pre-release screenings.
