20th Century Fox and Peter Chernin have teamed up to make a biblical epic about Moses.
According to Variety, producer Chernin and Dylan Clark will oversee development of the script with writers Adam Cooper and Bill Collage (the upcoming Moby Dick).
The movie, taking inspiration from 300, will tell of Moses's adoption into the Egyptian royal family and how he led the Hebrew people out of Egypt and across the Red Sea.
The most famous big screen interpretation of Moses came in Cecil B. DeMille's 1956 film The Ten Commandments, which starred Charlton Heston as the religious figure.
