The former Dancing With The Stars personality was in rehearsals over the weekend for her role of a fellow dancer in the project, E! reports.
The 21-year-old will join stars Cher and Christina Aguilera in the tale of a small town girl (Aguilera) who seeks employment in a struggling venue run by Tess (Cher).
Director Steve Antin will begin filming on Burlesque next month for release in November 2010.
Actress Kristen Bell was recently confirmed to portray the on-screen nemesis of Aguilera in the film.
Hough was previously in negotiations to feature in the remake of Footloose.
