Prout will play a vampire called Lucy in the film, Access Hollywood says. The character is reportedly important to the backstory of Jasper Hale, played by Jackson Rathbone.
Prout is best known for her roles in the 2005 film Elektra and the television series Kyle XY.
Filming has already started on Eclipse, with its release expected in May.
