Campbell for major 'Spider-Man 4' role?

Campbell regularly collaborates with the helmer, having starred in his Evil Dead trilogy and made cameo appearances in the first three Spider-Man films. Speaking to MTV, Raimi revealed that the actor's role in the next instalment will be more substantial.
"I promised him we would write something because I really love putting him in the pictures," he said. "I promised him a good, meaty role."
It has previously been speculated that Campbell could portray a villain in the picture.
Screenwriter Gary Ross is currently working on a script for the project. Sony Pictures is planning a 2011 release.
