New 'Avatar' trailer to debut Friday?

A new trailer for James Cameron's eagerly-awaited sci-fi film Avatar will debut in cinemas this Friday, according to website Coming Soon.

The trail, which is said to be three-and-a-half minutes long, will play in theatres from October 23 before rolling out online on October 29. The new preview reportedly expands on Avatar's story, which involves a paraplegic war veteran journeying to the alien planet Pandora.

The trailer is expected to screen in US theatres, however the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has no listing for a new Avatar preview.

Avatar, starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Michelle Rodriguez, opens in IMAX 3D and conventional cinemas on December 18.
