More 'Lord of the Rings' to come on DVD
Lord of the Rings director has revealed that there will probably be some form of ultimate DVD collection of the trilogy in two or three years' time.

Speaking to USA Today, the New Zealand director said: "We really don't have a definitive plan. I don't want to add more footage. There's as much in there as we want. Eventually you are just going to go backward and weaken the films."

Instead of adding new scenes he would rather show some scenes that did not make the final cut and explain the reasoning behind their exclusion.

Other material that will probably be included in the package would be amusing out-takes and making-of documentaries, though Jackson explained that the latter would not be in the usual format: "There are no commentary or interviews. It's like a reality TV show."

Jackson is currently working on a remake of King Kong.
