According to The Mirror, Scott attended the screening of Cracks at the London Film Festival and said that he was "absolutely proud" to be there.
The Alien director also admired the festival, saying: "I think the festival is coming to its maturity. It's finally getting recognised in terms of a festival and I think that's long overdue.
"Unfortunately I don't premiere films at the festival very often and I didn't do this one - my kid did this one. I'm delighted to be here."
Meanwhile, Jordan Scott admitted that she was "slightly daunted" about being compared to her father.
"His films are very different and I'm a girl so hopefully there won't be any comparisons," she said.
