Paramount plans 'Paranormal Activity 2'
Published Monday, Oct 26 2009, 11:35 GMT | By Simon Reynolds

The movie, directed by Oren Peli on a budget of just $15,000, has grossed more than $62 million in its five weeks on release in the US. It beat Saw VI to the top spot at the American box office this weekend.
"We have the rights on a worldwide basis to do Paranormal 2 and we're looking to see if that makes some sense," the Los Angeles Times quotes Paramount chairman Brad Grey as saying.
Paramount picked up the independently produced film for $300,000 and spent less than $10 million on marketing costs. Grey said that the movie could become the most profitable in the studio's history.
Paranormal Activity will open in the UK on November 25.
