Speaking to DS while promoting his latest film An Education, Cooper said that taking the story back in time may rule out an appearance for his character Sky.
"Unfortunately you say sequel, I've heard a terrible similar word beginning with a 'p', which absolutely outs my existence in it whatsoever," he stated, adding: "I'd do anything to go and film on a Greek island again."
Cooper admitted that he would like to see music from the '80s replace the songs of Abba should the Swedish pop group withdraw from the new film: "You could go down the Duran Duran route - or jive music."
