
The Twilight star received 38% of the vote to beat competition from Christopher Lee and Wesley Snipes in the poll of more than 3,000 cinema-goers.
"People love to be scared witless, particularly at this time of year," said Pearl & Dean chief executive Kathryn Jacob.
"And Edward Cullen being voted firm favourite movie vampire is testament to the fact that people still enjoy a good bloodsucker."
Pattinson, 23, rose to stardom as vampire Edward Cullen in the movie based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer. Sequel New Moon arrives in cinemas next month.
