'Fish Tank', 'Moon' lead BIFA noms

Arnold's movie, which follows a 15-year-old girl's turbulent relationship with her mother and her new boyfriend, has eight nods in total, including recognition for 'Best Director', 'Best British Independent Film', 'Best Actress' (Katie Jarvis), 'Best Supporting Actress' (Kierston Wareing) and 'Best Supporting Actor' (Michael Fassbender).
Science fiction film Moon is close behind on seven nominations, with helmer Jones up for 'Best Director' and the Douglas Hickox Award for a debut filmmaker.
An Education, In The Loop and forthcoming John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy all receive six nominations and will contest the 'Best British Independent Film' prize with Fish Tank and Moon.
Daniel Day-Lewis is to receive the coveted Richard Harris Award for 'Outstanding Contribution to British Film by an Actor'.
The ceremony will be hosted by James Nesbitt on Sunday, December 6 at The Brewery in London.
