Mediapro has teamed up with Antena 3 to produce the picture, which was filmed in London over a period of seven weeks in the summer.
The film, which is the second Mediapro Antena 3 production with the director after the award-winning Vicky Cristina Barcelona, stars Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Gemma Jones, Freida Pinto, Lucy Punch and Naomi Watts.
Its plot concerns the different members of a family attempting to resolve their problems and entangled love lives.
Last month, Allen said that he only names his movies when they are finished because he gives the good films a "confident" title and the weaker ones "what I call one of my hiding titles".
You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger will be released in autumn 2010.
