Carey Mulligan on 'Wall Street 2'

Carey Mulligan has admitted that she was intimidated about the prospect of working on Hollywood drama Wall Street 2.

Speaking to DS, the actress confessed that she overcame her nerves on set and is having "fun" starring with Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf and Susan Sarandon.

"I was terrified," she said. "[Director Oliver Stone] is wonderful, we're having so much fun. It's a really exciting film to be on because there's such brilliant actors in it. We've played around with the script a lot and he gives us a lot of freedom. It's great."

Mulligan noted that her character Winnie, the daughter of Douglas's broker Gordon Gekko, has "gone the other way, she's not in the finance world. She's motivated".

Gekko, whose lines such as "greed, for want of a better word, is good" and "lunch is for wimps" became iconic from the 1987 original, takes Shia LaBeouf's Jacob under his wing in the sequel.

Asked if she could reveal a line of Gekko dialogue from the new film, Mulligan replied: "If I gave you an exclusive of what he says in the new film Oliver Stone would have me shot! I'll get in so much trouble."

Mulligan can be seen in An Education from Friday.
