Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich has been cast in psychological thriller Faces In The Crowd, reports Variety.

Writer-director Julien Magnat is making his English-language debut on the project, which centres on a woman (Jovovich) who survives an attack by a serial killer and sustains a head injury that leaves her unable to recognise faces. The condition is a true-life neurological disorder called prosopagnosia.

Scott Mednick, Jean-Charles Levy, Clement Miserez, Kevin DeWalt and Sylvain White are producing the film for Forecast Pictures, Radar Films and Minds Eye Entertainment.

"Julien has written a breathtaking thriller that is truly original, and I was hooked from the first read," Mednick told Variety of Magnat's script.
