Jackson 'This Is It' film surpasses $2.2m

Studio Sony Pictures said that it plans to release official box office numbers on Thursday, Variety reports.
This Is It opened in 35,000 US cinemas on Tuesday and is currently playing in 97 countries.
The film documents Jackson's rehearsals for the concert series of the same name. It features the late star working on stage and behind the scenes mentoring his team of musicians and dancers.
