Scorsese hasn't spoken to Dylan about film

Acclaimed Goodfellas director Martin Scorsese has been working on a film about music legend Bob Dylan but he has not yet spoken to him about it.
Scorsese told TV critics this weekend that he would rather work with his interpretation of his story without Dylan's intervention: "I'd not like to deal with the man directly. I'd like to create the story, to find the story, first of all, and then play it out the way I think it's right."
The film will be used as part of the PBS American Masters series. The director has been provided with ten hours-worth of interview material conducted by the Blowin' In Wind singer but concedes that he may eventually speak to the man himself.
