Jamie Foxx inspired by Wesley Snipes
Jamie Foxx has revealed that it was a performance by Wesley Snipes that made him realise that he could find success as a black actor.

Foxx, who is strongly tipped to receive Oscar nominations for his performance in Ray Charles biopic Ray, says that his realisation that he could make it in acting came after watching Wesley Snipes in New Jack City.

Before that film Foxx thought that the industry saw black actors as useful only for portraying stereotypes. MRIB quote Fox as saying: "It was the first time you saw a black kid play a role like Al Pacino in Scarface or The Godfather.

"A lot of people don't know that Wesley Snipes played opposite Michael Jackson in the Bad video. He's the one who says, 'You ain't bad, you ain't nothing!'. He went from that to to this movie New Jack City. (It's) my favourite film."

In other news, Foxx is currently engaged in a legal battle to recover compromising photographs.
