Jim Carrey has divulged that he would like to make a move into music.

The Hollywood actor, who recorded a cover of The Beatles' 'I Am The Walrus' for a tribute album, said at the UK press conference for his new film A Christmas Carol that he is considering branching out into the music industry.

"It's another realm, another room to play in," he stated. "I'd absolutely love to do something musical. I've dabbled in doing something like that and I think it'd be tremendous fun."

The star joked that he already has eyes on merging acting with his musical ambitions: "Perhaps Wham! The Movie. [I'd play] the successful one, maybe."

A Christmas Carol opens worldwide this Friday.
