Published Wednesday, Nov 4 2009, 01:25 GMT | By Mike Moody

The sequel to the 1999 cult movie opened in an extremely limited release and reportedly earned more than $500,000 (£306,607) last weekend. Distributor Apparition will expand the film wider on November 13 to cities including San Francisco, Dallas, San Diego, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Houston and more, says Cinemablend.
Apparition set up a web page last month asking fans to demand the film in their area, similar to the one created for Paranormal Activity.
Boondock Saints II was directed by Troy Duffy and stars Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus.
