Speaking to DS while promoting his adaptation of A Christmas Carol, Zemeckis admitted that he was eager to push technological boundaries with the 3D performance capture film.
"That'll be fun," he said regarding the Yellow Submarine reinterpretation. "It'll be a great challenge as well, but it will be interesting to see what we can do in the next movie. I'm sure that it will be even more spectacular than what we're able to do now."
Asked if it will retain the psychedelic visual style of the 1968 original, the filmmaker replied: "Yeah, I call it The Digital Trip!"
Discussing the mooted sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Zemeckis said that "it's a little bit too early to predict" when he will make the film as the project is still in the scripting stages.
The Back To The Future helmer added of Jessica Rabbit's status as a sex symbol: "I knew she'd have an effect on men but I didn't think it'd be as powerful as it was."
