Beyonce Knowles is likely to be starring in a movie version of Broadway musical Dreamgirls.
Impressed with her performances in third Austin Powers outing Goldmember and forthcoming Pink Panther remake, producers want her to star as Effie in the show about a Supremes-esque singing trio from Chicago.
Bill Condon (Chicago) is leading the project and apparently wants Jamie Foxx (Ray) to be involved, according to KIISFM.
Filming should start later this year.
