The 23-year-old actor told reporters at a press junket that the final Twilight film should start shooting next year, but he did not address rumours that the movie will be split into two parts.
"I think the tentative time for Breaking Dawn is fall next year. They may well change that," Collider quotes Pattinson as saying.
Twilight, the first film in the vampire saga, grossed more than $380m (£226m) at the worldwide box office. The second instalment New Moon opens in cinemas on November 20.
